Cheltenham Festival

This year's festival saw Gloucestershire slip to poor championship defeats against Derbyshire and Northamptonshire and win and lose thrilling pro40 matches against Essex and Durham respectively.

Despite results, the festival was again an absolute pleasure to be a part of and time cannot pass quickly enough until first-class cricket is again played on the beautiful college ground.

The Cheltenham festival is the oldest cricket festival in the world and is a unique setting with the backdrop of the gothic chapel and Victorian pavilion provide for a wonderful cricket-watching experience and the venue has seen many exciting matches and historic moments down the years. It is a wonderful sporting spectacle and many an enjoyable afternoon is spent at Cheltenham College.
